Genetic Therapy

Genetic therapy is the insertion, alteration, or removal of genes within an individual's cells and biological tissues to treat disease. Common form of genetic therapy involves the insertion of functional genes into genomic location in order to replace mutated gene. Genetic therapy uses the technology of genetic engineering to cure or treat a disease caused by a gene that has been changed. Genetic therapy trials may lead to new ways to treat or even prevent many diseases. Genetic therapy is highly effective in counteracting genetic disorders and hereditary diseases.
